Holy Half-Pipe! See The Incredible Transformation Of A 100-Year Old Church Into A Skate Park

January 2, 2016 // Inspiration

The idea of creating skate parks in unexpected places is nothing new, but it’s unlikely a more impressive one exists than the Kaos Temple skate park in Llanera, Spain. A 100-year-old abandoned church was transformed to a park three years ago, and when artist Okuda San Miguel saw the space online he offered to paint the interior. Red Bull added to the crowd funded project, which opened last month and has proven to be so popular you need to apply to skate there. Check out the images of the process by Elchino Pomares below and if you feel like a trip to the holy half-pipe, email them via LaIglesiaSkate.com
